Breaking NEWS!!!!

Zoe has been working very hard all year on tracing all the letters in the alphabet both at home and at school. Her teachers and I think she is Brilliant!!! I'm biased I know... Well today Zoe wanted to write, not trace, WRITE!!! So we grabbed some paper and her big girl pencil and set up at the table. Zoe asked me "Mommy, how do you spell sisters name?" So I spelled it out for her "Ava." (Yes, Baby girl #2's name is Ava, for now) She then said "Ok, go slow," So I said "A" and she wrote an "A". Then I screamed and clapped with joy!! She smiled soo big, she was so proud. And she asked "what letter is next?" So I told her "V and A" and she wrote "V then a little a." I was soo tickled and so was she!!! Then I asked her if she wanted to try to write her name and she said "Sure!" and you know what? SHE DID IT!!! She wrote her name!!!! I'm soo proud of her!!! Here are the pictures I took of her work:

It's been awhile... Time to Blog....

So I know that I have been a little lax with the blogging.... So it's time to get everyone up to speed!!!

I celebrate my 27th birthday on April 26th... Yes, I know along time ago... It was a great day! We had lunch at my favorite mexican food restuarant, Chuy's with my family. I received some AWESOME gifts!!! My hubby bought my Twilight, my dad and stepmom got me a great 'Mixer' so I can make/bake wonderful things... I never thought I could love an appliance, but I DO!!! IT's great!!! My mom and stepdad bought me a load of maternity clothes, Thank Goodness, cause my big ole belly wasn't fitting into my regular clothes!!! I got tons of cute outfits!!! my 27th was a great day spent with the ones I love the most! Thanks Guys!!!
I have since been reading the Twilight series and am hooked!!! I have read all four books in less than a month... They are soo good!!!

We had our BIG SONO on the 30th, which I posted a little blog about.... WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL!!! I'm sooo excited!!! I really hoped she would be a girl... I would have been ok either way, but secretly wanted a GIRL!!! She's measuring right on track with my due date, which was 18wk 4days then... But I'm 22wks 4 days now.... :) She is very active and kicks all the time! Nick finally got to feel her kick about a week ago. Zoe is super excited to have a little sister to share a room with!!! Pink, Pink and More Pink!

This is a profile shot... Isn't she cute?!

Zoe is finished with soccer, I think she played 4 games total... the rest were rained out or too cold! But she loved it and made a ton of new friends! She loves her new trophy. We are definitely considering fall soccer, but will have to see what the schedule is like once the new baby comes!

I have been busy creating Cakes!!! I think I have found my second love (after my family)!! I made cupcakes for teacher appreciation week and a cake for my best friends graduation from nursing school...

How'd I do?

Well, that's about all I have for now... I promise to update more often.... I have a doctors appointment and another brief sono, so I'll be sure to update everyone tomorrow!! Till then I hope everyone is well and has been having a great month!!

Take Care,

Stefanie

Zoe's first Soccet game

Saturday was Zoe's first big girl soccer game! The day started out like a normal Saturday, with Zoe crawling into bed with us @ 7am. Nick had to work so I took tons of pictures for him. But Zoe's Oppa and Zam (My Dad and Stepmom) where there and she loved it!! We got in the shower and dress after Nick left for work. Zoe was exceptionally cooperative while getting dressed, I think she was super excited to get to wear her new uniform, which by the way was HUGE on her!! But she still rocked it! Around 8am Zoe and I had to run to the store to get drinks for the team, because I forgot to get them the night before... Ok so I didn't forget... I just procrastinated! On the way out the door, I went to check the digital recorder and realized it wasn't charged! NO CHARGE at all! So that got me all emotional (thank preggo hormones!) cause I promise to record it for Nick. Luckily one of our digital camera's has a video option... So I got some video! Well, back to the story... we got to the field and Zoe goes into CLINGY mode. So we have a little pep talk about how she is a big girl and this is just like practice and how I know she can do this and so on... She finally let's go of my leg and gets out on the field... Her team was soo cute! They all lined up and listened to the ref explain the rules and they all pointed to their goal. It was adoreable!
They played 3 on 3 without a goalie.
I'm so glad that at this age they don't keep score, because the other team schooled our girls... Don't get me wrong, our girls did great for their first game. But the other team was much more experienced at the art of playing soccer! I think Zoe likes it... Everytime the coach would switch the girls out and it wasn't Zoe's turn, Zoe would get upset and want to play more. She was so happy to play her first soccer game. My little #4! After the game was over, the parents made a tunnel for the girls to run through, Zoe passed out her drinks and got her snack. The coach gave the girls a little pep talk and high fives and they ended with a team yell of "Go Diamonds!"

We had brunch with Oppa and Zam afterwards and went home for a good, long, MUCH needed nap!!! and the best part... Zoe asked when she was going to play soccer next?! She likes it!!!

Shower Cake...

I was asked by a family friend to make her daughters baby shower cake and was honored in doing so. She wanted it to look similar to the invitation.
Here is the invitation:
The picture is kinda blurry, but you get the idea.

And here is the Cake:

It's really in there...

Well, I guess I should say he/she is really in there. I had my 14 week check up today and was super excited to get to hear the baby's heartbeat. My blood pressure was 126/80 which is great considering I have a history of high blood pressure. The doctor and I chit chatted for a minute and then he busted out the doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat. It took him a minute to find the baby and the heartbeat which worried me, but he did and it was loud and strong!!! Little thing was hiding! The doc asked if I was able to feel the baby move and I told him that I just recently thought I could.... a cool little flutter in my belly!! The baby is really in there!!! I'm so excited. I don't go back for another 4 weeks and will have a anatomy sono with him in 8 weeks. But little does the doctor know, I have scheduled a follow up high resolution sonogram with the specialist I saw previously in 27 days!!! Hopefully Baby Wade will cooperate and show his/her parts!!! What do you think it will be? Boy or Girl?

Take care,

Stefanie

My first card

So I have always wanted to try my hand at cardmaking... I know I can make a few cards here and there for holidays, birthdays and such, but I've never made cards for anything else. Well, my friend asked me to make her wedding announcements, 40 of them!! Sure, I can do it! Well, I made some proofs for her to pick from and she decided on a font and wording...Well enough babble, here is the finish product: So what do you think?
